Sirsa Sports Center is a project of Haryana Government very well conceived on 2000 on decades old PWD warehouse / stockyard. This site of 29 acres was turned into a sports facility packed with many as listed below by the architect.

The project was not funded by SAI (Sports Authority of India) as it had already funded similar sports facility in the town of Faridabad. As per the policies in force then SAI could finance only one project per State.

However, the Master Plan was prepared in detail with fine details of each facility as per the requirement of SAI. The project was implemented in parts by local municipality. The architect carefully included all the following:

  1. Athletic Track – 400 m 8 lane
  2. Hockey – Synthetic
  3. Hockey – Grass
